Hey ————— I’m Pete

Im so stoked you’re taking the time to get to know me and check out some of my work. I’m a husband, father, lover of Jesus and avid wine drinker living in the beautiful Margaret River, Western Australia.

I have 3 kids ages 4, 2 and 1, its every bit as chaotic as it sounds and I wouldn’t have it any other way. My wife Elizabeth besides being a mum of 3 kids, also owns a bridal boutique in Perth called NOA Bridal. With 2 businesses and 3 kids time is short, but when I get some spare I love the to spend it camping, gardening or anything thats outdoors with my kids.

I was a landscaper for 6 years before stumbling into wedding photography. My origin as a photographer was just taking photos whilst hanging out with mates photographing moments we wanted remembered and others that I guess we’d rather not. I always found an equal amount of joy documenting and archiving these moments as I did the moments themselves. One of my mates asked me to photograph his wedding 5 years ago and then it just snowballed from there!

Why —— Weddings?

Weddings are a melting pot of people, emotions and a beautiful amount of chaos. Even amongst all the similarities of the format there is so many variables that after 100s of weddings I only get more excited each year.

I love the in between moments and I have a very documentary style of photography. Weddings allow me to immerse myself in a new group of people, locations, experience’s and a new collection of stories each weekend.

There is probably no other time in your lives you get to have all your closest friends and family in one place celebrating together and its truely special.

My ——————— Approach

I have a down to earth, journalistic and candid approach to weddings. If you’re after something perfect posed then I am not the photographer for you!

My focus is on the in between, the imperfect and the moments you often miss. Culture has us believe that weddings need to be perfect down to every last detail, planned to every last flower but in my opinion the beauty lies in the unpredictable and the unplanned.

“I can’t allow my quest for a perfect photo to become the reason I miss an emotionally important, fleeting moment.”
