Weddings are one of the greatest moments of our lives. I may be biased, but when else do we get all of our most treasured friends and family all together in one place? The beauty and of course the chaos that ensues is something I’ll never get tired of witnessing, observing and documenting.
Im not a photographer who sticks to a plan, a shot list or whatever’s trending. I thrive in spontaneity, reacting to the moment rather than trying to control and mould it.

Coverage
Two Photographers, myself as the main photographer and then an assistant helping me throughout the wedding day. Full Day, I’ll finish once I’ve captured it all.
Film
20 rolls of film shot across a mix of 35mm & medium format cameras. Approximately 500-600 film images (or about 50-60% of your gallery delivery)

Online Gallery
Great for easy downloading, sharing and enjoying of your images. A selection of 15 images will be sent to you the day after the wedding and the full gallery delivered 4-6 weeks after your wedding.
Couples Shoot
An intimate 45min-1 hour shoot, often 2 days or so before the wedding and at a location near the wedding venue or neighbouring city. These are great for us to get to know each other a little more and for me to work out the best way to photograph the two of you. But most importantly these are always concluded with some drinks.
Welcome Dinner and Next Day Event
2 hour’s coverage both the night before the wedding at the rehearsal dinner and the day post at the recovery event. These are shot very candidly and are often some of my favourite parts of the wedding weekend.

MOSTLY FILM
25-30 rolls of film shot across a mix of 35mm & medium format cameras. Approximately 800-900 film images, this is something truely unique, special and timeless. I will have a digital camera as back up but otherwise everything will be photographed on film and be gloriously imperfect.

Personally Package 1 is my favourite way to photograph and in a perfect world how I would document every wedding.This package is for those who want the whole event captured.
When I’ve become friends with you and your guests, everybody see’s the camera less, and more of the person behind the lens. It allows people to relax, open up and then the images just fall into place.
A wedding is like a wave, if I’m intertwined into your inner-circle of friends I can ride the wave and let it guide me to the right moments almost effortlessly. If I don’t have a connection sometimes its like paddling against a rip and find myself fighting all day just trying to get out to where I want to be.

Most weddings I shoot solo, however if you have a particularly large wedding (e.g. 150+) or you have a lot of details you’d like photographed then I’d recommend it.
A roll of medium format film gives you 10 images whilst 35mm film yields 32-36. I use a mix of both formats on different cameras depending on the circumstance and conditions of the moment. Medium format creates large high resolution files but is often a bit slower and is better suited for portraits and more slow paced parts of the day. 35mm cameras came after medium format and often have higher shutter speeds and features that make them more suited for fast paced and in between moments.
The welcome dinner can be a great opportunity for me to get to know your friends and family and its always a great night filled with much excitement. A couples shoot is just you two and me hanging out, getting to know each other more and capturing some nice low-key portraits around the destination of your wedding on a mix of film and digital.
Why should we hire you?
After years in this industry I realised my best images came from photographing friends weddings. Or when I’ve just brought a small camera along to a wedding/event I’m a guest at. They’re the realest, most personal, timeless images I’ve made.
There was no purpose behind the images other than to document those moments in time. I didn’t care if they were pretty, styled or if everybody was looking at the camera.
It’s the same when I photograph my kids, I don’t expect them all to smile, or to stay still and in fact I don’t even want them too. I want them playing, having fun, being themselves and I just embrace the chaos.
For decades we’ve had these Ideas that weddings need to be perfect but nothings perfect, nor should it be. And in fact the best moments and memories in hind site were often far from it.
I will photograph your wedding from the perspective of a friend (and yes this means we have to become friends haha). We will drink together, laugh together and get to know each other.
We will catch up over zoom a few times in the lead up and then will grab drinks and something to eat in person a few days before the wedding. I will drink wine with your mum, eat oysters with grandma and get to know not just you but your guests.
I love this job, this is what I’m meant to do.
These won’t just be wedding photos, they will be memories. These images won’t be fake, some will be a little blurry (or a lot blurry once Ive found the wines) and sometimes a little rough BUT they’re real and in my opinion perfectly imperfect.
But most importantly if you want a photographer who will get amongst it and sink a few drinks with you on the dance floor, then I’m your man.
